Just a little patience

"Shed a tear 'cause I'm missin' you, I'm still alright to smile... I think 'bout you every day now. Sometimes I get so tense but I can't speed up the time...Little patience, need a little patience..."

I'm really close to busting out my bandana and air guitaring this all over the apartment. This song has been playing in my head over the past few days, and Nick has been incredibly patient with my being cranxious (combination of crankiness with the rain/mud and anxiously waiting for cold weather).

I need snow, lots of snow, and need it now!

The weather report since Thanksgiving has been less than stellar...here's some data for Seven Springs:

Unfortunately we haven't yet figured out how to geoengineer cold weather (at least to my current knowledge), and the Earth kind of does what she needs to do based on the complex mess of physics and chemistry that control the climate. Dealing with the cranxiousness was possible this past weekend due to an awesome visit with some college friends. Thanks to another college friend with sweet season ticket seats, we went to (my first ever) live Steelers game during which they stomped all over the Bengals (check out the hilarious post-game analysis on That's Church).
I'm focusing my energy on work, and on writing, and on training extra hard (following my preseason conditioning plan) to deal with the cranxiousness. Coach Jb has a pretty serious plan mapped out for me, and was on Pittsburgh Today Live last week talking about some of the exercises he recommends for snowboarding...yup, he makes me do all of these, and the body saw is killer.
