Moving on up
After a few weeks working on the rebuilding plan Jb designed for me, it's exciting to "graduate" to a full lift. The bench felt good tonight.

Accepting reality
There is a significant amount of humility involved in rebuilding. You have to put aside ego and focus on what needs to be done, at the moment, to make it to the next step. Accepting this is part of the challenge.

Rebuilding.
Last week launched the rebuilding phase to prepare for next season. The past six months were focused on physical therapy to repair from pregnancy, and it's now time to start rebuilding strength and speed. Even though there is a significant amount of work to do, I'm ready, let's go!

(Almost) back to the board
October hike in the woods |
Things have been quiet on Daybreak Carve for the past few months.
My off-season plans to increase speed and strength changed last May, and I spent
the subsequent nine months focused on good nutrition and a healthy level of physical
activity. Even though I continued exercising throughout the pregnancy, the workouts became less intense over time as my exhaustion (and belly size) increased.
The months of preparation paid off in December when my husband and I welcomed miss Emmie to the world!
